Kirsten Hurley is an autism consultant, lecturer and speaker.
Like many girls and women with autism she was only diagnosed with autism as a young adult. Since her diagnosis in 2010, Kirsten has conducted research into autism and the experiences of people with autism. She has also supported others on the spectrum since her own diagnosis (in both a paid and voluntary capacity).
She lead the team that developed the Diploma in Autism Studies and the online Certificate in Autism Studies in University College Cork and continues to lecture both in person and online on various topics around autism.
She is married with two children (one autistic, one not - both a little bonkers) and lives in West Cork.
